Retention periods are set to satisfy Inland Revenue and Incorporated Societies Act record-keeping obligations. Confirm with the Chamber's accountant before go-live.

How it works: each chamber is a fully isolated tenant — its own database schema, domain, branding, users and Xero connection. A member of one chamber is invisible to another unless both chambers opt into a shared national directory. This is what lets the platform be sold to the next chamber without rebuilding anything.

Not yet decided: whether affiliated chambers should share a national member directory and reciprocal event pricing (as the NZ Chambers network does informally today). This is a commercial decision, not a technical one — flagged for discussion.
